For Insurers & Underwriters — Price Orbital Risk on Verifiable Behaviour

Price orbital risk on what operators

In-orbit premiums run 5–12% of a satellite's value, and in crowded low-Earth orbit they can consume 5–10% of a mission's entire budget. Yet underwriters still price on limited, largely self-reported information. Orbitraz gives you something better: a neutral, tamper-proof record of how each operator screens, coordinates and manoeuvres — plus where in orbit their assets actually live.

How the data is produced

When safe flying is visible, it can be priced

Today a careful operator and a careless one can look identical on an application form. A verifiable behaviour record changes that: good conduct becomes evidence, and evidence can move premiums.

Where the data lowers loss ratios, insurers can choose to subsidise coordination for the operators they cover — so the party that benefits from fewer losses helps pay for the layer that prevents them. Everyone's incentive points the same way.

We do not claim a specific percentage reduction in collision probability. Our public-catalogue screening flags risk by miss distance; a true probability needs covariance, which arrives with operator-shared ephemerides. We'll publish the numbers when the data supports them — not before.

Behaviour records cover operators on the platform. Coverage grows with adoption; we'll tell you exactly which assets are and aren't observed.

Efficiency-score baselines are simulation-derived today. Live, in-flight scoring requires shared manoeuvre records.

The settlement layer runs on a public test network today; nothing here is audited yet.

Co-design the risk signals you actually want

A 30-minute call on the book you'd like to look at — asset classes, orbits, and the signals your underwriters currently lack.

We deliver a congestion and exposure read for those orbits, plus behaviour records for any operators on the platform.

Together we define the score components and cadence that would actually change a pricing decision.

You get an early, privileged seat in shaping a signal the market will use. Pilots are free.

Market context: the space insurance market is roughly $4.4B (2026); in-orbit capacity remains limited and premium income is contracting as large constellations self-insure — which makes accurate pricing of the assets that are insured more valuable, not less.

For Insurers & Underwriters — Price Orbital Risk on Verifiable Behaviour

Orbitraz gives space insurers a tamper-proof record of operator behaviour, a behaviour-based Orbital Efficiency Score, and congestion analytics by altitude — inputs to price risk accurately and reduce claims through coordinated avoidance. Underwriting pilots open.
